Tara Shrine Room Transformation

At the start of June, we held a Buddhist Retreat Day with Kunga Dondrup (Damien) to fundraise for our Tara room’s complete make over. It was very successful as we raised £1,300 in the end!

On 10th June, the auspicious Dakini Day, volunteers started the work by clearing the room and removing carpets, and painting the cupboards, shelves, ceiling and walls. It was very exciting as changes are happening.

The kitchen had soup and everyone is looked after. We have an amazing group of people, making the mood so joyous.

In the afternoon, we watched H.H. Karmapa’s White Tara Oral Transmission together, it was so blissful.

On Saturday, 20th June, we did Green Tara Puja with all the musical instruments in the new Shrine room for the first time, many people joined us, the energy was amazing.

Lama Yeshe Rinpoche and Lama Zangmo have both kindly sent their congratulations and blessings to our new Tara room, we really appreciate and want to share the joy with our community.

Thanks to everyone who generously helped in so many different ways to make this happen.

Do come and visit the new Tara Shrine room next time when you are here, to have a feel of this amazing transformation!
