About the event

Losar is the Tibetan meaning “New Year”. Lo means year and sar means new. The Tibetan calendar is a lunar calendar.

The Year of the Wood Dragon begins on February 10, 2024 to February 27th 2025 and is believed to be able to foster growth, progress and abundance.

We will be hanging prayer flags between 12 noon and 2pm. You are all welcome to help with this.

Then at 2pm we will be doing a Tsok Guru Rinpoche puja where everyone that attends brings something as an offering such as cheese, biscuits, fruit, chocolate, cake, juice, crisps, flowers etc and these are put on a tray in front of the shrine from 1pm to 2pm.

Then we start the puja celebrations. At the end of the Tsok puja we all celebrate together and eat the food and drink that has been offered.

You're welcome to come along to this FREE event, RSVP is appreciated. 😊
