The main themes are the development of meditation, compassion and wisdom, with helpful instructions on how to maintain a strong, daily meditation practice, how to transform negative emotions and how to become of true benefit to others.

These teachings provide a grounding in essential points of Buddhist philosophy and practice, and are suitable for beginners and the more experienced, as well as Buddhists and non-Buddhists.
