About the event

Come and join us in our Tibetan shrine room to listen to Buddhist teachings.

We will be showing this inspiring DVD of a lecture Rob gave in 2000.

This is a wonderful opportunity to have the fundamental teaching of the Buddha explained in a way accessible to all.

PSYCHOLOGY OF BUDDHISM - THE FOUR NOBLE TRUTH by Rob Nairn.

Rob Nairn was an international presenter of meditation and Buddhism.

His training in Jungian psychology and Buddhism - including a four-year isolated retreat at Kagyu Samye Ling Monastery in Scotland - enabled him to translate ancient Eastern wisdom into concepts we can understand and apply.

Rob was one of the pioneers of Tibetan Buddhism in South Africa, and was Akong Rinpoche's representative, in charge of all the Kagyu Samye Dzong centres in South Africa and in Zimbabwe.

His contribution to the secular mindfulness movement in the West also, was immense. He was largely responsible for establishing the Mindfulness Association , as well as the wellspring of most of the teaching material within this organisation.

Rob passed away at the end of September this year.

The program will be followed by refreshments in our Tibetan tea room. All welcome.
