Gelong Thubten is a Buddhist monk, meditation teacher and author. He became a monk at Samye Ling Monastery in Scotland 30 years ago and has spent over six years in enclosed meditation retreats, including one which lasted for four years. He has completed 200 pairs of the ‘nyung ne’ fasting practice and spent many years as personal assistant to Akong Tulku Rinpoche. Thubten now runs Samye Dzong Scarborough, as well as helping here at our Cardiff centre.
